Paper Pulp Paintings
Pulp paintings are made entirely from handmade paper..often referred to by papermakers as cast paper. Veils of colored pulps are built up in layers similar to painting in oil or watercolor to create depth and texture. Color is added to the pulp in the form of non-fading, lightfast pigments. Pulps are l00% cotton rag and abaca fibres internally sized which strengthens the finished work.

Oil Monotypes on Handmade Paper

Monotypes, sometimes known as “painterly prints” are one of a kind (mono). The painting is done on glass, metal or plexiglas. Next a sheet of handmade paper is pressed or burnished down onto the wet painting and it is “lifted” off onto the paper. A unique and beautiful effect is achieved with this technique.
