Handmade Paper

Our handmade paper is l00% archival and is made from a variety of fibres including abaca, rag, cotton and native plants like cattail, daylily and iris. Each piece of paper is individually handmade on a papermaker’s mould. The sheets are internally sized for strength and waterproofing which allows them to be written or drawn upon with all types of writing materials.

These books are made from our seacove and gardens at Widgeon Cove Studios. The ten inside papers are made from native plants, and the cover is made separately from seagrasses, handsewn and bound with driftwood from the beach.
